A Revolution begins with an idea.
Since 2016, Nuestro Lugar has become a renowned icon for all who visit downtown San José del Cabo. From its architecture to the delight of its flavors, it has become an emblem of this city.
La Revolución, Comedor de Baja California, is located in a brick house from the late 19th century, listed as a historical monument by the INAH. Originally owned by the Castillo sisters, the house suffered deterioration due to time and natural phenomena.
The rehabilitation, led by architect Susana López González, used a contrasting architectural intervention, highlighting and preserving the historical heritage with materials such as adobe, concrete and steel, connected by wood.
After the intervention, the building has become an iconic landmark of the Art District in San José del Cabo.
